Born in the small town of Buffalo, Minnesota, my musical journey began in my early teens when I moved to Minneapolis. It was here that I first experienced the thrill of creating music, recording basic hip-hop tracks with a friend at the age of 15. Our passion led us to invest in better equipment, and with each new addition, we evolved our sound and began to establish ourselves in the local scene.
Under the name Slim Chances, we formed 1812 Records and made significant waves in our community. This journey afforded us the opportunity to share the stage with renowned acts such as Kutt Calhoun, Krizz Kaliko, and Insane Clown Posse. However, during this time, my music often reflected the struggles of my past, long before I discovered my faith.
A pivotal moment came with the heartbreaking loss of my best friend, who had always encouraged me to seek Christ. His passing prompted me to delve deeper into the Word, igniting a transformative journey that reshaped my music. In just the past eight months, I have been blessed to write 69 songs—more than I have ever released in my entire career—marking the beginning of my new Christ-centered mission.
Now, as I embrace my new artist name, His Alone, I carry forward the message of hope and redemption. While “Slim Chances” represented my past struggles and the odds of escaping that lifestyle, “His Alone” signifies the complete transformation I have undergone and my commitment to living for Christ.
I have had the honor of performing on the Extreme Tour in 2022 and collaborating with esteemed artists from Universal Music Group/Thump Records, including Battle Ax, ASAP Preach, Snoop Dogg, and KRS-One.
As I continue to die to myself and take up my cross, I strive to be a vessel of His love and grace through my music. Join me on this journey as we celebrate faith, redemption, and the transformative power of artistry.
Now as we die to ourselves and take up our cross we become His Alone!
